Performance Kitchen Crafted™, Essential Food We All Need
As #COVID19 kept people home, Performance Kitchen Crafted™ (formerly #EatLocal) kept them healthy, globally inspired, and regionally focused — with amazing #frozenmeals for almost every dietary need (gluten-, dairy-free, vegetarian, #vegan, #keto/Carb-Wise, and more). Welcome Magazine dug in with Registered Dietitian/Regional Manager Sayuri Barritt

“Some of our customers have participated in our donation program, Why Not You Foundation, partnered with the Seahawks player Russell Wilson. This allows our customers to purchase meals and match their donation up to four meals per transaction. We have donated 1,300 meals as of today to local food banks and shelters for people who need healthy meals.”
For Performance Kitchen Crafted™, formerly known as Eat Local, “Food is Medicine.” In 2007, original founders Greg Conner and Matthew Steed wanted to feed people real, nourishing, interesting food they could make at home with “small-batch” frozen meals. Their Queen Anne store soon expanded to four more, spanning the Seattle area. A recent partnership with former Lululemon CEO, Christine Day of Performance Kitchen™, only strengthened that philosophy.
As COVID-19 kept people home, Performance Kitchen Crafted stepped in to provide them with healthy, globally-inspired, regionally-focused, prepared meals for almost every dietary need (gluten- and dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan, keto/Carb-Wise, and more). Registered Dietitian/Regional Manager Sayuri Barritt, RD CD, gave us a quick update.
How have you been handling the COVID crisis? Fortunately, our business is considered essential and we have been able to keep our doors open to public. We also have online orders/delivery/curbside pickups available, which allows people to purchase our products safely with no-contact. We take the CDC safety precautions seriously and apply them on daily operations, such as wearing a mask, hand washing between customers, keeping 6 feet part from customers and employees.
What’s the response been from your customers? Our customers have been appreciative of our meal services, as most of them are stuck at home with little access to healthy foods during the COVID pandemic. Some of our customers have participated in our donation program, Why Not You Foundation, partnered with the Seahawk’s player Russell Wilson. This allows our customers to purchase meals and match their donation up to four meals per transaction. We have donated 1,300 meals as of today to local food banks and shelters for people who need healthy meals.
Do you have any e-cards? We offer gift cards/gift certificates. We do not offer e-cards.
How can people support your business? They are welcomed to visit our retail stores (Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Burien, Mercer Island, and Kirkland stores) to purchase our healthy prepared meals, or access to performancekitchen.com for delivery/in-store and curbside pickups with no-contact. If they are interested in donating our meals, they can match their donation and we ensure to donate the meals to local communities.
